Course Description:
This conference will update participants on the latest medications and technologies available across various subspecialties. The goal of this program is to guide participants on the newest options and how to provide them for patients or refer to the appropriate sub-specialist.
At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:
· Recognize new and “game-changing” medication options across the subspecialties (e.g. teprotumumab for thyroid eye disease, cenegermin for neurotrophic keratitis, bimatoprost sustained–release implant for glaucoma).
· Identify new technology and surgery across the subspecies (e.g. video games for amblyopia therapy, new MIGS options).
· Understand when and how to provide these novel options to patients, or to provide direction on referral to the appropriate sub-specialist.
