Program Overview:

The overall goal of this activity is to update ophthalmologists with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management of complicated cataract surgery cases.


Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Explain the management of psychosocial factors in patients preparing for for cataract surgery.
  • Prepare patients with systemic diseases for cataract surgeries.
  • List techiniques and methods used during cataract surgery to avoid potential complications in patients with co-existing ocular diseases.

The Wills Eye Institute is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
