Description:
This video describes the removal of an intraocular foreign body (metal fragment) located in the vitreous cavity. First, the globe is secured to repair the corneal laceration. A pars plana vitrectomy is used to remove the lens because of the injury to the anterior and posterior capsule. Final suggestions to prevent retinal detachment are described.
