Course Description:

Global advances in technology are improving our understanding and ability to treat various retinal diseases.

This update will cover a broad range of subjects from the latest updates in medical and surgical retina care, including emerging opportunities in telemedicine and new vitreoretinal surgical platforms including ultrasonic vitrectomy, culminating in the J. Arch McNamara lecture on advanced bioimplants in ophthalmology.                                                                                                                 

At the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate new advances in telemedicine screening
  • Incorporate into practice recent study results in the management of a variety of retinal diseases
  • Assess potential future treatments and devices for managing retinal disease
