Course Description:
The management of ocular infections is often complex, from deciding whether to take cultures, what choice of topical and/or oral medication to initiate, and how frequently to follow up with the patient. There are many possible etiologies of corneal infections to consider, from bacterial and fungal keratitis to herpetic, acanthamoeba, and CMV-related infections. We will review current strategies for the evaluation and management of anterior segment infections.

At the conclusion of the course, participants should be able to:
Evaluate patients with anterior segment infections Review various etiologies of corneal infections Apply concepts of medical management of anterior segment infection Review and assess the indications for cornea crosslinking and/or surgical management of anterior segment infections
